Join us for a cinema screening! Every few weeks we bring you films from family fun to Oscar-winning classics, presented how they were intended to be seen – on the big screen. It’s pure nostalgia! Showings are on Sundays (2:30pm and 7pm) and we also show Silver Screen (all-time classics) on selected Wednesdays at 2:30pm.

The Picture House is named after Stone’s cinema that operated from the Town Hall (but had closed by 1980). It is run by the community, for the community – with prices from £6 for adults and £5 for children, except for special events (such as National Theatre Live).

Reasonably priced sweets and ice cream are available at our confectionery stand, and as we’re at Crown Wharf –  hot or cold drinks are available from the bar (and you can absolutely bring your drinks in!).
